Cesar Marte earned 2nd place in Newark's Cherry Blossom Festival. Two riders, Neil Bezdek (Foundation) and Michael Chauner (Equipe Vitesse), broke away from the field and looked likely to take victory. The two separated as Chauner attacked to break free of Bezdek. Behind the two, teams Smart-Stop, Van Dessel, and Mengoni were chasing hard, and caught Bezdek right at the line, with Cesar Marte (Mengoni) winning the field sprint for 2nd. while Chauner stayed away for the win.Series Leader Apr.2, 2013
