Eugene Boronow finished 3rd in the Lou Maltese Memorial Road Race, and the team earned 2nd in the team competition.

In Central Park, NY, the Lou Maltese was billed as a team competition: riders would score points at the finish, and the highest-scoring team would take the top prize. In the race, a breakaway formed that included Eugene and Nick Friesen. In the end, Eugene finished 3rd, with Nick 9th. The Adler team, however, had riders in 2nd and 7th, and won the team competition.
