Jared Bunde won the 5th stage of the Vuelta a Nicaragua on Saturday. According to a newspaper report entitled "Bunde to the Assault" (with Bunde misspelled), "Jared Bunde ... at 50km remaining escaped together with Gabriel Larrea, of AEG-Toshiba and Adan Schwind, of First Rate Mortgage, all from the United States, but it was Bunde who showed more resistance and determination and then "mounted" to his breakaway companions more than four minutes and a little more to the peloton."In addition to the stage win, Jared finished the week 6th on General Classification and 3rd in the points competition. |
