Mengoni Wins All in the Twilight's Last Gleaming

Mengoni's Rosevelt "Pollo" Marte won the four-month
Twilight Race Series,
held on
Tuesday evenings in Brooklyn's Floyd Bennett Field. Close behind in the
overall standings
was Lisban Quintero (Team Cuevas), who was trailing by only 3 points
going into the final event.
Pollo's field-sprint victory (for 4th place) was more than enough to win
the series.
Finishing in front of Pollo, were Jason Schneider, Jason Bremer (both
Mengoni), and
Xavier Melendez (CRCA/Next). The three had stayed away from the field,
with Schneider
claiming the day's victory. |
