A four-rider breakaway containing Jason Bremer (GS
Mengoni), Tony Settel (CRCA/Conrad's), David Sommerville (Ideal Tile),
and Luis Quintero (GS Gotham/Toga) developed and stayed away for the
duration of the race. From this group there were many late attacks, the
last of which was from Sommerville, who finished alone to win. Behind
Sommerville, Bremer beat Quintero for 2nd, followed by Settel in 4th.
Behind these 4 riders, visibly jubilant Ed Bennett (Bennett's Cycles)
won the group sprint for 5th.
