Victory on a Cold, Wet Morning - Wednesday, April 07, 2004 at 23:13
In the cold and wet weather, Jason soloed away from his breakaway companions to win his first race of the 2004 season.
The race saw numerous attacks by the Toga team, the most dangerous of them by Sergio Rolando and Samuel Acevedo (both Toga). Together the duo developed a big gap to the field, but Rolando flatted, and Acevedo got caught late in the race by a group that contained Jason Bremer (Mengoni). In the final miles, Bremer attacked numerous times until the elastic finally snapped and he crossed the line alone, his breakaway companions just a few seconds behind.
In the second group on the road, Jason Schneider (Mengoni) won the sprint for 8th, showing that his sprinting legs have returned.
