The High Bridge course is a 3.3-mile loop with a steep climb, a less-steep climb, a narrow & rough road, a screaming descent, and a rolling wooded section. In the category 1-2 race, an 8-rider breakaway was established after only two miles of racing (after the first climbs). After some mid-race attacks, the group was reduced to five riders including Lisban and Eugene. Late in the race, another attack dropped Eugene from the group, leaving Lisban alone with the other three. In the final, David Clinger sprinted to victory with Lisban getting a close 2nd. Eugene came in 30 seconds later, holding on for 5th. Other riders got away from the field, with Gavi coming in for 9th.
