The Mengoni team earned 2nd place in two races this weekend: In Brooklyn's Lucarelli & Castaldi race, Cesar Marte earned 2nd from a breakaway. With that, he earned enough intermediate points to wear the series' green sprinter's jersey.
And in the Catskills, Brian Breach earned 2nd in the 117-mile Hunter Mtn. Road Race.

Winning the Wine May 6, 2012
The Mengoni team swept the podium in Gladiator's Race for the Wine. Brian Breach won, with Eugene Boronow 2nd and Augusto Sanchez 3rd.

Scott Savory finished 3rd in the opening race of the Lucarelli & Castaldi series in Brooklyn. Meanwhile in Massachusetts, Brian Breach finished 4th in the Quabbin Road Race.

Podium Places in Pennsylvania and New York Apr.21, 2012
Eugene Boronow earned 2nd place in Pennsylvania's Farmersville Road Race from a 3-man breakaway. Behind the breakaway, Brian Breach earned 5th place with a fast sprint.
Meanwhile in NYC, Scott Savory sprinted to a 3rd-place finish in a race that had Francesco Moser in attendance.(photo)

A Win in Central Park Apr. 14, 2012
Brian Breach won again, this time in Central Park. He got away with another rider early in the race, and the two worked furiously to stay ahead of the rest.

Mengoni wins the season opener Mar. 4, 2012:
Scott Savory won the opening race of the NYC Spring Series in Central Park.

Top finishes in the Vuelta a Independencia Feb. 27, 2012:
Augusto Sanchez and Cesar Marte competed in the Dominican Republic's national tour. In the 9-stage event, the duo finished top-10 in several stages with Augusto earning 3rd on stage 3, and Cesar earning 4th on stage 5.

GS Mengoni announces its 2012 roster Feb. 20, 2012:
Back with the team after a successful 2011 season is Augusto Sanchez. Additionally, young riders Scott Savory and Cesar Marte will return as well. The team's most consistent winner, Brain Breach, and Jared Bunde (reigning master's US track champion) will line up. Returning from a 3-year absence will be Eugene Boronow, as well as Wilson Vasquez and Pollo Marte.
