On the final race weekend of the season, Karl earned 1st and 2nd in the two days of racing: He won Saturday's Hempfield Road Race in Pennsylvania, then got 2nd in Sunday's Kissena Race in Brooklyn.

Friday Victory Aug, 2014
Before departing for a 2-month trip to Europe, Al Barouh left his mark by winning a Friday-night race in Riverhead, NY.

Victory in Lancaster Aug.30 2014

Karl and Eugene raced in Lancaster PA's Union Grove Road Race. Eugene won from the breakaway, and Karl won the field sprint for 6th.

Final Podium at Floyd Aug.27 2014

Last night was the final race of the season-long I Will race series in Brooklyn. Eugene finished on the podium with 3rd place in the points competition (Stalin Quintero was 1st, Neil Bezdek was 2nd).

Juan-Carlos earned a fine victory at Floyd Bennett Field on Tuesday. He made a late bridge across to the breakaway, then won the group sprint for the win.

Finishing in Green Aug.4 2014

Juan-Carlos completed Saturday's Lucarelli & Castaldi series as the winner of the points competition. And he did it in style, by finishing 2nd in the final race (first in the field, as there was a solo winner ahead).
Additionally, he finished 2nd in the overall series competition.

Victory in the Catsikills July 2014
Eugene won the Neversink Invitational Road Race. It was a tough course over many of the Catskills' toughest climbs. The front groups whittled down to just two riders. Eugene won the two-up sprint after a long fight, and Al finished 5th from the shattered field behind.

Victory at Dairylands June 24, 2014

Karl Nelson took a victory in Wisconsin's 11-day Tour of America's Dairylans. His win was in the Schlitz Park Classic (considered the toughest of all the days), Cat-2 race.

Moving Up May 27, 2014
Rene Hererra earned a fine victory in the Tour of Somerville cat.3 race. He won the field sprint in the high-speed criterium.

Winning on the Track May 19, 2014
Al Barouh raced at the velodrome in Sunday's Kissena Spring Classic. Of the numerous events, he won the Kilo and the team sprint.

Top 10 at Bear May 19, 2014
The team raced the Bear Mt. Spring Classic, where Eugene Boronow finished 8th in the 96-mile Pro/Am race.

Solid Weekend Apr.23, 2014

The team entered the Lucarelli & Castaldi Series leading all four series competitions. After a tough race, they retained the lead in the climber and sprinter competitions, and are tied for the series leadership. Photo.
Then on Sunday's Spring Series race, Eugene Boronow finished in 3rd place from a breakaway that escaped the field early in the race.

Sweeping the Podium Apr.7, 2014
At the opening race of the Lucarelli & Castaldi Series (Brooklyn, NY), the Mengoni team swept the podium, finishing 1st through 4th. In addition, they earned all of the series' leader jerseys. They had 4 riders in the winning breakaway, and were able to use their numerical advantage. Eugene Boronow won the race, earning both the race-leader and the KoM jerseys. Juan-Carlos Polanco took the sprint points.

The team won races on both days: Everhard Paredes won Saturday's race in Newark, NJ.
And Karl Nelson won Sunday's Spring-Series race in the rain.

2nd From the Break Mar.24, 2014
Tony Hall earned 2nd place in Sunday's Spring-Series race. It came out of a 5-man breakaway, and the sprint was tight. Here's a video of the sprint.

First Win Mar.15, 2014

The team got its first win at the Lucarelli & Castaldi Series in Newark, NJ. Everhard Paredes edged out last-week's winner Scott Savory for the victory.

2014 Team Roster Announced Dec. 26, 2013
We are pleased to announce the 2014 GS Mengoni USA Cycling Team. Returning riders are Al Barouh, Eugene Boronow and Juan Carlos Polanco. New riders to the team are Everhard Paredes and Tony Hall (both from the Champion System/Stan's No Tube), Rene Herrera (from Kissena), and Karl Nelson (from the East End Cycling Team).
